Crafting memorable Thanksgiving place cards takes a few simple tools: colorful cardstock, pens, paper edgers and autumn embellishments.
The advent of Halloween reminds us that Thanksgiving is not that far away. It's close enough to start planning the menu and making some items a head of time. If you're hosting Turkey day this year, have you thought about where everyone will sit?
Even if your holiday meal is informal, place cards can help spice up the dining room table.
- Fold rectangles of card stock to stand on its own
- Using paper edgers, cut a decorative border around the perimeter of the card
- Write guests name in center of card using gel pens or craft makers
- Use color tissue paper to create "feathers" glue or tape around the border of the card to mimic a turkey's feathers
- on the front right side of the card draw or print out the face of a turkey. Glue on the inside front flap so the turkey's head peers out.
