Can you believe that the 4th of July is just over a week away? It seems like Christmas was just yesterday! With the kids out for summer, it’s important to have fun craft activities to keep them busy and out of the hot summer sun during the brightest hours of the day. This year, in honor of the 4th of July holiday, create this fun and easy patriotic wreath!
This simple craft only requires a pair of crafting scissors, a pencil, some construction paper, and a pair of hands! Help a child to trace around his or her own hands using a pencil. Using your craft scissors, cut out the hand to use as a template and trace the template onto blue and red construction paper.
Have your child help you cut out the hands. Cut out a large piece of construction paper or poster board to resemble a wreath. Use tape or glue to adhere to hands to the wreath. Tape a piece of string or ribbon to the back of the wreath to hang it or simply tape it to a door.
What will you and your family be doing for the 4th of July this year?
